theupriserandClaude Sonnet 5.5	515019770f	fix: on NVIDIA the SteamOS conversion is a choice, Gaming on NVIDIA stays preselected; supported cards are GTX 16 / RTX 20 and newer ... theupriserandClaude Sonnet 5.5	127b8cf88b	feat: SteamOS conversion on NVIDIA with a patched gamescope (GBM scan-out) ... The conversion is offered on supported NVIDIA cards again; it builds and installs steamify-gamescope-nvidia and sets gamescope_drm_gbm_scanout=1. It and Gaming on NVIDIA exclude each other. theupriser	d0e4d8cf79	feat: Big Picture on NVIDIA starts on an empty Plasma session, so restored windows don't cover it	2026-10-01 19:19:51 +02:00
theupriser	d6db4f6f2d	feat: "Gaming on NVIDIA" replaces the SteamOS conversion on NVIDIA PCs ... gamescope's gaming mode shows a corrupted picture on NVIDIA (NVIDIA bug 5240452), also nested in KDE and in a KWin-only session. With an NVIDIA GPU the conversion (gaming, boot, single, glyphs) is hidden unless already on, and nvidia takes its place: Steam installed when missing and started at login on the Plasma desktop (user unit), with the sub-option bigpicture for Big Picture or the normal window. The kernel parameters and early NVIDIA modules (RTX 20 series or newer) are kept as part of it. tests/nvidia-test.sh covers the component and the menu rules against a fake GPU.	2026-10-01 19:04:58 +02:00

theupriser	84cf0959e4	feat: NVIDIA modules in the initramfs only while every kernel has them, decided again by a pacman hook at every kernel change	2026-10-01 14:42:06 +02:00
theupriser	453656a0a2	fix: NVIDIA fix checks the edit and the generated boot entries for every boot loader (limine.conf, systemd-boot entries, grub.cfg)	2026-10-01 13:07:07 +02:00
theupriser	6aa1377e16	fix: NVIDIA fix on Limine edits the existing cmdline line; early modules only when every kernel has them ... Found by running it in a VM: the appended += line became literal text on the kernel command line, and a kernel without the modules made limine-mkinitcpio skip its boot entry.	2026-10-01 12:48:56 +02:00
